I absolutely love being here, this school has accommodated me throughout the four years that I’ve been there. I couldn’t imagine what my high school experience would’ve been like if I would’ve attended a different high school. My teachers, peers and staff members have given me the things that I need and want no matter the circumstances, and they have prepared me and supported me through whatever I wanted to do whether that be in school or in college no matter what. I can not give enough thanks to this school!
The selection of classes offered, teachers & activities are wonderful. The only changes I’d suggest are adding club sports to cover sports not offered by the school (swimming, lacrosse, etc.) as well as updating & expanding the school buildings around the district (they just re-built the football stadium & made several improvements to some of their buildings last year but a lot of the buildings are still dated). When it comes to sports, FO is at the top of our division - last year the football team went to state, basketball season was one of the best in school history & baseball, volleyball, soccer & track are already starting this year right! There’s tons of other clubs & activities to choose from & many opportunities to be a part of the community. Communication between the administration, teachers, students & parents is amazing & they’ve adopted a lot of new tech into the district. All around great experiences at this school!
I loved Fort Osage. I was a highly involved student: choir, track, cross country, and basketball as well as honor societies. The staff is amazing and always willing to help students-I never had a faculty member that I disliked, even a sliver. Surrounded by a caring community, this school is invokes a sense of belonging for everyone. Proud to be alumni of this school!
Something that could improve is the parking and the gymnasiums are sort of run down, but otherwise an amazing school.
