Forney is overall an amazing district, and takes their academic involvement of the student very serious.
they made sure I was okay and wasn't getting bullied the teachers were great they always helped me out with my homework and made sure I had down what the lesson was
Being apart of the Forney Independent School District meant being apart of another family outside of home. Our community, teachers, staff, and students always came together to support each other during the good and bad. Being an athlete in Forney, seeing everyone come together to support our volleyball team at every game and cheer so loud is something I will never forget. One of our slogans is "Forney Family", which is exactly what it feels like when you're apart of the Forney Independent School District.
I went to Forney High School in 2017. I was involved in an accident and not only did the the whole school come together to help my team out during a hard time, the whole community did. I greatly appreciate my experience and the opportunities that have came from my years at the high school.
I enjoyed the teachers and the overall environment of the school. I would like to see more school activities that brought grades from 9th all the way to 12th come together.
My experience was okay, the majority of teachers didn't go above and beyond to really help, but the ones that did which were a few were outstanding.
Forney ISD is one of the best school district academic wise the teachers are amazing and continue to teach me new things every day. No matter how my day is going all of my teachers help me through it and continue to be positive. Forney is one of the best things that has happened to me. I see myself doing great at school and definitely look forward to going.
Specific schools vary within the district. North Forney High School is also far superior to the south side school in diversity and acceptance. The other side of the district promotes exclusivity and excludes students from programs due to economic status and race. I highly recommend the north side of the district.
Great teachers, very clean and safe. School counselors are not the most helpful however, which is really the only place I'd improve.
overall a good school. has about 4 security officers. not so good with acedemics. never really learned too much .
I appreciate the number of classes to choose from. Also, Forney ISD now has a leadership program called Synergy that is a great way to get students involved.
In my time at Forney High, The atmosphere of the school spirit is what stood out the most to me. Being a Jackrabbit felt meaningful and inclusive.
Forney ISD has many opportunities to be a good school district but they lack in giving their students the best experience possible while in high school. The school district is heavily involved in Forney High School while they lack giving attention to North Forney High School in areas such as academics, security, and activities/clubs. Although the administration pays better attention to sports they mainly support the Football team.
The teachers are great but they can only do so much with a terrible administration. The administration repeatedly showed they will only do the bare minimum that is legally required of them for the students. Even if it's an error on their end. They have also repeatedly shown they are incapable of properly handling their finances
I was a forney high school cheerleader. I attended forney high school for four years. Overall I had a great time. Some of the teachers weren’t all that great and the food wasn’t good at all but I met some great people there. Our sports teams were very good. We earned a lot of titles throughout the four years i attended. A lot of times the teachers and principles cared more about dress code than attending class or really anything else.
The only way to get a quality education is to take advanced courses. Administration doesn't support the teachers making it nearly impossible for them to do their jobs. They are heavily focused on football, which isn't great. Girl's sports get hardly any recognition, along with fine arts.
I loved how Forney prepared me to take on new and challenging responsibilities. The counselors were always looking out for my best interests along with any personal experiences that I would have trouble with. The teachers are one of a kind, they helped me to become more independent and kept me on my toes with interesting lessons everyday. I found that it was easier to be more involved with my grades in skyward (a student portal) and stay on top of any assignments and projects I had. There were many different school events that kept me involved and looking forward to the next school day. The principals were always extremely approachable and kind however they were also firm but fair in their punishments of rule breaking. The variety in classes keep school days from being dull and irrelevant because of the uniqueness of my personalized schedule.
