We are incredibly disappointed in our district’s school board and new superintendent as of 2022. While they say students are their number one priority, they have made it abundantly clear that the students are not their priority with their actions. They banned student led events like diversity day and have been meeting with developers to tear down a newly renovated Anderson HS so they can build a hotel and outdoor drinking zone and consolidate already crowded elementaries. My daughter had 28 kids in her K class and I can’t imagine them putting any more kids in each class. There are rampant issues of bullying and fights in the middle school. Strings of suicides every couple of years and students crying out for better mental health support. The district feigns caring, but again, at the highest level, the board is only concerned with money and their shady political agendas. This district will only continue to go down hill.
We moved here specifically for the schools and were not disappointed. Over the years 5 children went through and graduated from Forest Hills Schools and o they had outstanding experiences and hit the ground running when they went to college. Strong academics, excellent extra-curricular opportunities, solid teachers and facilities. The District is very well run. I recommend it to anyone.
Fantastic school for educational purposes, but lacking in terms of mental health. It's an overall well funded district which offers many resources to it's students, such as the ccp program and the opportunity to attend a trade school.
