Florence Independent School District Reviews

3 reviews
This district has heart, compassion, support, there is nothing more rich and satisfying as a place with amazing educators and administration working together to provide the students with the best possible outcomes they can. The district is small and rural and lacks in funding support, however the education the children are getting is incredible. There are activities for every grade level and the parent involvement is incredible as well. I love this district! They are doing everything in their power to achieve excellence.

Most of the teachers were burnt out after teaching for 20+ years, they just didn't seem to enjoy teaching any more. Often times the discipline wasn't consistent, meaning if your parents were well known or had a lot of pull, then you were treated differently. I was given zero preparation for college, I had to learn what I know on my own. Also, there were not a whole lot of options when it came to clubs and activities, just the basics, like Spanish club and student council.
Florence is a small school but every teacher in there is helpful and caring. Everybody is so welcoming.
