Though we lack a lot clubs and classes since we are a small school with not much funding, the staff still helps us prepare for our future. I think it's this way because we're a smaller school. Teachers can care about students and help with college preparation. I'm not sure I could've made it this far without this type of environment. I feel like this can only get better years to come.
Lake City High School gives you a good head start with colleges, you can take dual enrollment classes. I like that the teachers help you out and they push you to pass they actually care about you graduating but you have to help yourself first. I think that more students should get the same opportunity.
I think there are many areas in which the school district could improve. I wish that there were more attention directed towards improving the academic opportunities (ex. more AP courses, college readiness resources, etc) available for students, as well as increased efforts to ensure the safety of the students on campus. Although there are numerous faculty members who appear to be passionate about the success of the students, I do not believe that Florence School District 3 adequately prepares its children for college/the work force.
