My over all experience at Flathead High School has been good. I'm a 3.8 GPA I have played a Varsity sport for four years and other varsity sports. Academics I think have been outstanding but sports not so great. I contribute this to the hiring of young inexperienced coaches.
Flathead High school is a very welcoming and loving community. My first year of high school I was so excited and Flathead lived up to my expectations. I loved going to the sports games and cheering with my friends on the sideline. The teachers are very understanding and try their best to give a person the best education they can. Overall my experience was wonderful and I'm excited to see what my future holds.
FHS is a family. The teachers care for their students, and make them feel involved. The overall environment is inclusive and all in or all out. Their sports programs are phenomenal, and all are included. They have a huge variety of clubs so everyone has a place. They have career fairs, and mentoring programs that are meant to help everyone.
I liked the culture of the school. It has a deep pride for itself and it works hard in the community. Great teachers and great classes are offered. It is a great school district.
Out of all of the high schools in the Flathead Valley, Flathead High School is the greatest option, in my opinion. The staff as a whole are kind, and look out for the students' best interest. There are so many opportunities to take advantage of. Award-winning sports teams, Speech and Debate, Theatre, Science and Math Teams, Book Club, FFA, you name it, you can be a part of it! The International Baccalaureate program offers great opportunity for students to expand their potential and broaden their horizons before college with world standards and values. Though there are a few bad apples in the bunch, I have never seen more a more hard working, team-orientated, friendly student body than I have at Flathead High School. This is a VERY GOOD school to attend.
Flathead High School is very welcoming, the staff at Flathead are the best-quality, perfectly challenging and most supportive in the valley.
This school has a great activity program. Our sports, music, and arts programs are very good. I had a great time there. The teachers are encouraging and supportive of the students dreams.
Flathead High School provides many opportunities for learning and helps you be involved in the community. The International Baccalaureate program is a great way to push your academics throughout your junior and senior years of high school. Many classes are offered ranging from IB Calculus, IB Biology, IB Theater, and many more. These classes provide the opportunity to test out of some college classes and can give you up to 6 credits at Universities that accept IB credits. This helps students save money in college and is a great reward for pushing themselves in high school. I have taken seven IB classes including two years of English, two years of math, two years of business, and one year of psychology. These classes have helped me prepare for college and the level of thinking and work needed to succeed. Flathead High School offers a wide range of sports and activities for all kinds of people. I have had many good experiences at Flathead High School and there are more to come.
I enjoyed the challenging curriculum, but I wish that there would be a more all in inclusive experience.
I enjoyed Flathead High School, every teacher I had was well educated in their field, sometimes even with work experience. Everyone is always open for questions, if during, after, or before class. in general the faculty is always ready to help.
One aspect I think they need to improve on is language classes and their faculty in that specific field. Today, it is very important to be exposed to that, and at least learn about other cultures values and practices. This is not well represented in this school district.

Flathead High School has a tradition of excellence when it comes to education. They are constantly adding new classes that will challenge students and prepare them for life after high school. The IB program is an amazing way to challenge students who need it as well as give students a chance to have a head start on college credits for a fraction of the cost. The athletic department needs work starting from the athletic director and working down. The sports programs have been suffering for years and there has been little effort to fix it. Amazing student athletes are not turning out for tryouts strictly because they don't want to deal with the politics. Policies for student athletes are more of a suggestion then a policy as long as you know the right person. The other activities however are well run and thriving.
My experience in the flathead school district was kinda rough. I am an African American female and have been called names for the color of my skin and I have also been called names because of my weight.
I was apart of Flathead High for 4 years. I would overall say that my experience with the school was satisfactory.
Wonderful school with excellent teachers. By far one of the best public schools in the nation. I would strongly recommend the IB diploma programme as it is one of the best in the world and provides an excellent set up for college. You can also get a full year of college out of the way.
Their speech and debate program is extremely beneficial as is all of their extra curriculars. Make sure to get involved.

Its a pretty good school over all but if you want to do anything other then IB or medical courses you out of luck.
I was a full IB student at Flathead High School. The academics offered are of rigorous core if the student chooses to take such courses. Student divirsity rates are abysmal.
I have spent the last four years at the school and with all the greatness I have had my senior year has got me to become great in football and with my academics
