Flat Rock Community Schools Reviews
Flat Rock is a small district with only about 150 kids per grade. I like the closeness of the community. The buildings are K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12. I like the separation of the grades in different buildings. Plus that are in in walking distance of each other. The teachers are amazing and really card about the students. The district is small so there are not as many extra curricular activities but still enough to be involved. I have two kids in high school and one in still at home. All three of my kids will start in Flat Rock and graduate from Flat Rock, go Rams!
Flat Rock High school is a school that is as simple as it comes. It has its necessities and it tries to give the students what they need. There are some teachers that aren't the greatest but that is to be expected. Not every teacher can pander to each individual student. But overall in the last 3.5 years of my high school career, I was treated well and was able to complete my senior with decent grades keeping me at a 3.0
I liked the variety of courses offered in high school, especially the technical training courses. I was able to gain amazing experience in the medical field by taking the Health Occupations course block.
