Flat Rock is a small district with only about 150 kids per grade. I like the closeness of the community. The buildings are K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12. I like the separation of the grades in different buildings. Plus that are in in walking distance of each other. The teachers are amazing and really card about the students. The district is small so there are not as many extra curricular activities but still enough to be involved. I have two kids in high school and one in still at home. All three of my kids will start in Flat Rock and graduate from Flat Rock, go Rams!

The programs offered at Flat Rock are in-depth and overall they are taught very well. I'm able to take advantage of many specialized classes, such as drafting and design; I took this class two years ago. Flat Rock has also offered me the opportunity to participate in Dual Enrollment, which will help with not only college, but my last year of high school. I've been at Flat Rock my whole life, and my entire family agrees that it was a really good choice.
Overall Flat Rock schools are good. I am currently a senior and have been attending FR schools since I was in the fourth grade. Up until I'd say my junior year the high school had been fairly good. As a senior I haven't been very happy. I only needed a couple credits to graduate, I wanted to graduate early but FR does not offer that. I also did not feel that I was prepped for the SAT enough, a
long with college prep.
