Fitzgerald Public Schools Reviews
Fitzgerald High School is definitely a place to succeed, but just like any other school, it's not perfect. The teachers all care for their students and dedication does lead to success, but there are aspects (like the "zero tolerance policy") that lead to it's downfall. To evaluate on the zero tolerance policy, it is the idea that if there is an instance of bullying or discrimination, the student who has offended school code will be immediately reprimanded in order to assure the safety of the students. However, there have been many instances in which bullying is reported and nothing is done about the situation; for instance, as a reporter for the school news, one student approached me with a story that he had witnessed bullying on the wrestling team, but when he brought it to attention, it was pushed under the table. So while Fitzgerald exceeds in the care of it's staff, it sometimes lacks in care of the students.
Fitzgerald has a wonderful trade skill programs such as Auto, pharmacy, physical therapy, web design, etc. I love schools that give you a chance to explore your options all while doing it for educational purpose for free. Overall a good atmosphere and dedication through out the building.
Fitzgerald High School is an all around great school. The academics , teachers and counselors are very excellent. As I attended Fitzgerald I can't say any negative words about it. The people at Fitzgerald has brought me out of my shell starting from the teachers and working my way up to the administration office and principles. Everything at Fitzgerald is great especially the teachers because they always make sure you are on the right path. Although, throughout my years of high school moving into my senior year I have experience some rough and challenging times. However , with the help of my teachers I was able to make it through and feel confident about my work and what I was trying to accomplish. I love Fitzgerald High School a lot & it has made a huge impact on me and my life. Even though I struggled , the failure was nothing less than a lesson for me as I now start my journey to further success.
