I really like the school district as it has served me very well and has provided great academic and personal resources. The only thing I would look to improve is the distribution of funds amongst the schools. In recent years a brand new school was built and is still being funded the same as my school which was built in 1939 and is the most populated school in the state. This causes hallways to get extremely backed up, there is very little parking, and it doesn’t appear to be in as good condition as other schools in the district. Otherwise the district is great about providing opportunities for students that seek them and are very supportive of the community.
Fayette County Public Schools is a school district that lives up to its motto; “it’s all about kids!” Being in their school system for my entire academic career, I can comfortably reflect and say, every decision made by this school district is made with the best interests of the students. Academic success is rewarded and acknowledged as if it were a sign on divinity, and in turn, makes learning and expanding my horizons worth the efforts, and fun. Teachers and staff are aware of the hard work and time that goes into taking care of students, and one thing they surely remind us, is that we as children, and students, “ARE worth the struggle.” I am a proud student of the Fayette County Public Schools system.
Teachers respected students and did their jobs well. Had no complaints. I have gone to school here ever since I was in 3rd grade. I am now a senior and about to graduate. There were always kind teachers, with the exception of 1 or 2 rude ones. Sports were always fun and available to everybody. The facilities they would provide were above average in my opinion and was better than most other schools. It had excellent programs for art and academics. The diversity was shown throughout the halls, there were all sorts of cultures there.
