New leadership in place over the past 1-2 years has greatly improved the district's culture and outcome for students. There is a fresh focus on technology that students of all ages are excited about. School spirit is elevated with a focus on alumni appreciation. High school students are exploring Extended Learning Opportunities as a way to customize their education. All students learn methods to express kindness and community involvement on a daily basis. I am so proud to live in this community!
I currently go to Farmington High School as a sophomore. My experience has not been the best. A lot of the staff are somewhat caring and want you to succeed and you feel like you can actually talk to them like a person. But, the education factor for some classes is just not very good. The foreign language department especially is just terrible. I am in Spanish 2 and I couldn't tell you one sentence in Spanish, but I got an A last quarter. The school and the town itself are poor, so don't expect any high quality events. The school does hold some respectable events like Mr. FHS which is a fun time, but since the school is pretty small and apparently spirit is dying, it might end and we might stop getting participants for it. Personally I don't think that will happen. Overall the school is average for one of this size in my opinion. It's got a small budget and the education is average at best and lacks in some places.
The only things I have to say are one the middle school health teacher 👎 but when I went to the elementary school here me and my brother both found a teacher in third grade who was really special to us since then one of them has moved to second grade but those teachers were the best teacher either of us have ever had now the school sport is dying but the lunch is improving my family moved around a lot and this had some of the best teachers I've ever had it i had to say I would recommend this school
