Examining the student body reveals FHS consistently produces students who attend college, do well on SATs and are competitive sports and academic competitions. However speaking from my experiences, someone who prioritized grades, my time at FHS was 4 long years of misery. The school culture is highly competitive among straight A students and dare I say unhealthy. As a 10th and 11th grader I slept around 4 hours each night - a commonality among A students. I observed many of my peers displaying clear signs of depression and I witnessed several stress induced anxiety attacks before exams and sports competitions. The teachers attempt to be supportive of students however ultimately every year the faculty produces new standards which undermine teachers efforts to support their students. Perhaps if I had been less driven to perform well I would have gained fond memories; instead my only takeaways are 5s, my acceptance into an Ivy League and a high tolerance for misery.

Attending the Farmington High School has been a good experience! the teachers here are very professional and smart. They can definitely help you with whatever question you have. The school also prepare you for college. And the administration and all students are really nice. I never felt any discrimination happening towards any groups major or minor.
I have 2 daughters enrolled at Farmington High School. Both of them have had wonderful experiences. The teachers are connected, the academic standards are high and hey have lots of sport and activities offered. I especially like how the freshmen feel welcomed before school even begins.
