Farmington Public School District Reviews
I’m a senior a Farmington High-school, and overall my experience has been great! All the teachers and staff have been nothing but supportive to all students and I’ve created a good relationship with most of my teachers. With me having a hearing loss, I was scared I’d be treated differently and made fun of, but it’s been the opposite. I feel so comfortable where I go and the amount of support you get is amazing. There are so many places you could go if you need help and with the academic support times, you can go and receive extra help. I am in several clubs such as Youth Teaching Youth and Peer 4 Peers where I plan on making a difference to younger children and my own peers. I also was captain for the last two years on the sidling cheer team and I’m also on the competitive cheer team.
I would like to see less use of ipads. They just cause issues. Also I would like to see them actually get subs for when teachers are gone but instead we are supposed to go work somewhere else and work. They use ipads as teachers way too much. I would also like to see them care more about bullying. When the office hears that someone is getting bulled it gets thrown under the rug and the bullying just continues. It is very awful. Farmington is known for not caring about bullying and that just breaks my heart. The district also does not do a good job with preparing its high schoolers for college.
Farmington schools are extremely flexible with education! Personalized learning and individuality is very important to Farmington schools. I wish sign language courses were taught.
