Review Fairport Central School District
Fairport is a very closely knit community. I have grown up in this school district and cannot imagine growing up anywhere else. It's a place where people of all different backgrounds and interests can come together as one big family. Our community has been through many unexpected deaths caused by things like cancer, car accidents, and even suicide. Despite all the negativity, I feel that everyone in the Fairport community, especially within the schools, is very supportive and loving. We hold each other up and offer great support to the people around us, whether we know that person well or not. Fairport is a place where if you want to feel at peace and accepted for who you are as a person, you can and you will be.
Fairport was an amazing town to attend school in. I recently graduated and the one real thing I would love to see a change in is the college process through high school. I would like to see a seminar or course or some sort of informational meets ups for students of FHS who maybe aren't sure which post-high school academic journey to take, where they can hear all their options and how to really go about picking a school and the application process. Especially for students, like myself, who have little to none information and experience with college; I feel like something like that would be tremendously helpful.
