The school is very small and does not have many opportunities compared to schools in the area. There are not many sports, but it is easy to get on the teams. There is not a football team, tennis, field hockey, swim, wrestling, or lacrosse. The arts are also lacking as there is not an orchestra. The theatre does not have a thespian troupe, performs one show, and began in 2016. Pep band is offered but only for local festivals. The teachers care about the students, but many students choose to go to vocational school or do dual enrollment. ACT practice testing is not offered to dual enrollment students, possibly because there is sometimes poor communication. There are only four clubs that were started in 2019 school year that meet once a month. It is a very cliquey school as you will fit in better if you grew up in the community.
I think that Fairfield local is a very great school to attend if you are looking for a small school where you have one on one class time with teachers. The staff there is great and take the time to help everyone succeed, Fairfield is also a great school that has no bullying and a great community along with it. The only thing I would like to see change is more classes to choose from as a student.
The sports programs at Fairfield are outstanding, you feel like a family with your team. The teachers are all so nice and do their best to help you understand the material.
