The school environment is overall great. The majority of the staff is friendly and provide quality teaching. The building is old but well maintained. The sports programs are small, but ran well. Due to it being a smaller school district, class options and extra curricular options are limited.
I have been homeschooled through my entire high school career so I did not take any classes at the school, but I did play sports there and most of my friends go to school there, I have learned about the school and what I have heard is that if you are on the honors track taking all the AP classes then you get the good teachers but if you don't push yourself then you don't get very good engaging teachers. I have played sports, both fall and spring through middle school and high school, the coaches are not very bright, for example I made it to districts for a few track events and one of them was the 4 by 400m relay team and the coaches for got to enter me as a runner on the team so when we went up to check in the officials told us we couldn't run the race because the runners that were entered in did not make districts so they weren't there.
At Fairfield, there were a lot of things that I did not like and some things I liked. First off it is a very small school, so the students have less opportunity in almost every aspect. I wish we had more challenging courses, and more dedicated teachers. There was a mold incident which was very crazy. I enjoyed the sports however. I got a lot of opportunities to make changes to sports, and as an individual I made a lot of history. I enjoyed going to a small school, because it allowed me to make friends with my peers and even my teachers.
