I personally love my school, I do feel like the teachers and the district provide resources for student to keep college in mind for them. As well as prepare them for their future, Although they're things that I wish would change. My kindergarten year I attended a different school district in which they provided dual language classes, I had a class in the morning in English and the in the afternoon a class in Spanish. As a Spanish speaker I felt like I was in a safe space, because although I did not fluently speak well in both languages people around me were in similar levels and same struggles. Transitioning to this school district was difficult since everyone already spoke fluent English and I was adapting more to Spanish. I only know of one school that provides this program for students. This can change the lives of other children for the better since many students just as me struggle with the same problem.

I have been in the Evergreen School District since 3rd grade. I have found over the years that as you get older, the school seems less prepared for you. I know we live in a PC society now but things are not tipping in the right direction. They have so many pressures of what they have to get through to us that no one can enjoy the subjects. It's not learning history or writing mechanics, its about key points, test prep and checking boxes. I believe the district tries. We have great parent support and community involvement. However, the district needs to focus more time on teaching the basics, showing kids of any grade or age that learning has relevance and that we matter. There are to many politics in schools these days and I believe we need to get back to the basics. Evergreen is no different. I believe I'm ready for the great big world. However, I also believe my school career could have been more impactful for that next adventure.
Overall, i admired the teachers due to their willingness to provide learning opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds. The districts passion into making a community based environment for students, staff, and parents was overwhelming to say the least. The numerous activities and resources for kids to excel in their chosen field has made a pathway for individual success, including the Running Start programs offered by the high schools. However, i feel like there could be better improvement with the staff.
