Veteran para and rally advisor of twenty years who has chosen to go to college and complete her degree in teaching. Can't wait to finish up in the next few years and become a certified teacher with her own classroom of students. Evergreen employed staff at the middle school where I have taken residency since '98 have been amazing; they're a HUGE reason of why I've chosen this next big step in my career. Also, the students (past and present) continue to provide an unstoppable spirit about them that keeps me coming back for more; they're irresistible!

I generally enjoyed my time in my school. I felt as if the teachers wanted to be there and knew how to approach us. I recall some students having problems with some teachers, but otherwise the teachers and curriculum are great. I feel as if there are some flaws in the facilities. The lunch lines are quite long and "competitive" to enter in, leading to some problems with the short lunch break. The bathrooms are also quite bad, mostly due to some students misusing it. But those are the glaring flaws of a great school district, with dedicated programs and students. The band programs are a great example. They encompass all of the positive aspects of the school. The students and staff are friendly and passionate about what they do.
Evergreen Public Schools is a good public school system with mostly consistent levels of education and environments. There are some schools with poor funding that result in lower quality of campus, but you can tell that most of the teachers put their best effort into making it a fun learning environment. The programs in place to provide for gifted children and accelerated learning is very effective, allowing kids to go at their own pace for a multitude of disciplines, whether it be in science, mathematics, or the humanities.
