I have been in the Evergreen School District since 3rd grade. I have found over the years that as you get older, the school seems less prepared for you. I know we live in a PC society now but things are not tipping in the right direction. They have so many pressures of what they have to get through to us that no one can enjoy the subjects. It's not learning history or writing mechanics, its about key points, test prep and checking boxes. I believe the district tries. We have great parent support and community involvement. However, the district needs to focus more time on teaching the basics, showing kids of any grade or age that learning has relevance and that we matter. There are to many politics in schools these days and I believe we need to get back to the basics. Evergreen is no different. I believe I'm ready for the great big world. However, I also believe my school career could have been more impactful for that next adventure.

Overall, i admired the teachers due to their willingness to provide learning opportunities to students from diverse backgrounds. The districts passion into making a community based environment for students, staff, and parents was overwhelming to say the least. The numerous activities and resources for kids to excel in their chosen field has made a pathway for individual success, including the Running Start programs offered by the high schools. However, i feel like there could be better improvement with the staff.
I like the high school that I go to. The education is really great, and the schools definetly prepare you for college and beyond. The faculty really makes sure that you are prepared to go to college and they give you so many scholarship, and work resources. They really helped me out with figuring out my application process. The teachers are all really good at what they do, and for the most part I loved all of my teachers. There is also a huge music program offered which means a lot to me. The music department is terrific too, and very competitive and helped me become a much better musician. I would say that some of the high schools need to be updated and remodeled. Some of the high schools are really old and need to be updated. But that's a really nitpicky thing, since I can't think of anything wrong with the actual educational system.
