One thing that I love about Evart Public Schools is that, everyone is basically family and the teachers actually care about us and want us to succeed. One thing I would like to change though is the middle school. Kids have to choose between band and gym. They have this block called "Power hour" which all kids basically do is get there homework done or read during this block when they could be running in gym class or making music in band class, but kids who join band don't get the physical exercise that they need.
Some of the teachers are amazing but most of them aren't anything special. It is a very small school but not close knit. The food is all over processed pre-made junk. Only one AP class is offered, Claculus and other classes like that are no longer offered either. However, you may be able to take them online. The new super Isnt bad but the principal is over the top power hungry. That's my opinion and I haven't had a problems personally... the diversity and culture in the school is pretty much non existent. Maybe one or two Asians six black students. There are no programs or classes for college prep and no SAT help. They do offer a senior seminar class but I'm leaving for college in a little over a month and the class never taught me how to get a loan. There are maybe two or three clubs that are actually through the school but they were started within the last two years. We have the very basics of sports and non of the teams are particularly good. The school is quite poor.
The school is heading in the right direction with improvements in resources like laptops for all high school students (albeit they are Chromebooks) and new programs in the elementary school and have been updating a 100-year-old middle school.
