Eustace Independent School District Reviews
I love that we have flex lunch. Flex lunch is an hour-long lunch period where you can almost do anything you want for that whole hour. You can eat, hang out with friends, study, or even join one of the many clubs the teachers have to offer. My favorite thing about the school would definitely be the band program. I have made so many friends through the band that I probably wouldn't have if I wasn't in it. We are a big family and I have no idea how I would get through High School without it.
Eustace ISD has many wonderful and inviting educators, yet the district is really behind on keeping up with some important factors. Such as, maintenance and facilities. Yet there are new televisions in the hallways and cafeterias, but they don't seem to serve an important purpose. Not to mention the district is very 'traditional'. This would not be a negative thing but the district has been questioned on it's policies. These questions regarding whether or not the rules are based around racist, homophobic, or sexist points of views. These questions have yet to be answered.
The Eustace independent school district is unlike any other that I have been to. This school stands out by having virtually no bullying issues. The students genuinely care about each other and accept them for who they are; the teachers care more about you than anyone could, hoping you pass and doing everything in their power to help you learn, not just memorize facts for the next test. One of the only things that i would like to change about this school is the color of our lunch room. It honestly looks like a parrot exploded in there. Which is a nice change from all of the purple and gold but when you have every wall a different color and then the four pillars are the dullest grey, it makes your eyes cringe. I would also like an updated bathroom, but they are not the worst I've ever been in, definitely better than porta-potties. Overall, this school may not be the best looking, but he people make it worth while.
