Throughout my high school journey in the euhsd district, I’ve experienced several chaotic matters such as fights and gun threats. The beginning of the year, we had an anonymous student send fake threats to the school, thus making the school in shutdown every so often. With the worry of not knowing the safety of this school, the school faculty tried their best to aid with these solutions. Such as making students do tardy sweeps, meaning that they have to be in their classroom before the bell rings or else they would have to be marked unexcused. Solving the “late issue” in our school and giving the solution of making students arrive into their classroom safely and responsible. As our school has its ups and down, the issue is not the district but the students involved and solving an issue with limited teachers and 2000 plus children would be difficult but their efforts and worry of our safety helps me acknowledge their concern to us. Making me not feel as scared when coming into campus.
I would say the best part is being enrolled in to a dual enrollment program called Middle College and the worst part parts would be that we don’t get enough funding for better equipment or for activities and sports especially the girls soccer team. I would honestly like more students attending my school Orange Glen.
My experience in this district is that they do a lot of fun activities, there have so many classes to chose from, Escondido High School is where I found my passion for medicine like classes like Medical Biology and Human Anatomy.
