There are many things that were good about Ephrata and many things that were bad. First off, I do not agree with the way academics are handled. While some students had the opportunity to do one thing, other perfectly capable students were held back from doing them. Everyone was NOT on the same playing field. Also, the guidance counselors aren’t very resourceful. They do not personally get to know you and offer little advice unless you prod them!

Ephrata Area School District is a very nice district to live in. There is a good atmosphere when it comes to students around the district. There are many opportunities for extra curricular activities such as volunteer work, academic clubs such as yearbook, athletics as well as many others. The administration is very straightforward and transparent. They communicate well with parents within the district whenever there are problems or concerns. One thing that could be improved on the most is the facilities of the high school. The high school is currently a little out-dated but there are many renovations in the works or planned so this issue is not a big deal at all.
Great Music program, Great arts programs with teachers who genuinely wanted to see their students do well at school and in their future. Great language program, although more staff and class levels could definitely have been added with only 2 languages available.
