EF is, for the most part, a very good school. I never had any issues with my teachers in elementary, excluding the art teacher (some of the teachers have changed since I've been in elementary, but I haven't heard anything bad).
My personal experience in middle school was less than ideal, but the teachers and staff themselves were mostly very pleasant and helpful and the only teacher I had a serious issue with has left. The rules at the middle school are very strict and a bit overkill though, so be warned.
High school has been a very pleasant experience so far. Almost all of my teachers have been wonderful, and the two I took issue with have either already left or will leave after this year. The UIL program is excellent and the concert band is rather good (we do fall behind in marching).
Academically, it's a great school, but, EF is a small, conservative school in a small, conservative town. If you're looking for a queer-friendly school, this isn't it.

EFISD is a very well managed school. Our superintendent Maynard Chapman does a great job overseeing all schools. The community surroundingn Elysian Fields is one of the most loving and caring communities I know. However, there are minor aspects that I could compain about. The main one being that our school seems to care more about dress code than education at times. I know many of my classmates would agreee; many of us have been dresscoded for minor things (i.e. shorts length, facial hair, etc) and have cost us classtime in certain cases. As this case is, it is really the only compaint I have about EFISD
I love many things about my school. It is a great community with many welcoming students and teachers. We have a very fair dress code which is very popular among the students. The students also really enjoy the freedom that they give us. Because we have the right amount of freedom, it prevents us from being rebellious. Our school also has fair punishment and does not over punish students.
