Elverado Community Unit School District No. 196 Reviews

If you’re looking for high school on a personal, small town level this school is absolutely perfect. It’s a very close knit school and because of it I am able to know just about all of my classmates on a more personal level than if I were to go to a bigger school! It’s a great school and the teachers really do care a lot about their students and value the education they provide for us.

Overall, my years at Elverado have been pretty great. It is so tiny that you really get to know everyone, and you grow up with the same people you were in class with in kindergarten all the way through senior year. Bullying has also really never touched the school very much because there really isn't a lot of people in the school, so everyone pretty much gets along. However, because the school is so tiny we don't have access to wonderful enjoyable things that bigger high schools have, such as honors classes, a football team, a dance team, a music program, etc. I would like to see this change, however, not much can be done with such limited funding.
