Ellsworth Public Schools Reviews
I think that the entire school system needs to change. I went to EHS and it was awful. The only good people there are J. Falabella and J. Calandro. They're the science and music teacher at the school. It was honestly awful. The show choir steals money from the band, and the vocal teacher is awful and an absolute monster. Also, don't be surprised if the teachers are mildly mentally abusive to the students, the teachers get hired and fired within a school year. It's a revolving door. Poorly funded school, terrible food, no preparation for college at all, and honestly very few good things to say. The science department is phenomenal due to Jessie Falabella, and the instrumental music department is amazing to due to Jamie Calandro. They made high school worth going to everyday, but if it wasn't for them, I would have transferred.
They were very welcoming to my new student and trying to let her be independent at the same time! Lots of classes to choose from if we hadn't started late and very good about contact with staff and finding some wiggle room for catching up!
I have 2 daughters that go to Ellsworth High school and I think that the school has been wonderful. My daughters are doing very well. Both are in the honors program and they receive help and encouragement to do well. Teachers are great and I've never had an issue at all.
