Overall, I have had nothing but positive experiences at Elkhorn. It's a very athletic oriented community which can be really exciting at times. Other times, this is frustrating because all the other organizations are looked past. As a part of the athletic community myself, I truly love all the support surrounding all our sports. It makes the events so exciting to attend, and be a part of the cheerful crowd. The town is small, so it is very tight-nit and community oriented.
I enjoy EASD (most specifically, EAHS)! The teachers are enjoyable and always ready to help! However, I’d like to see improvements in the arts department— so many talented young people are pushed toward other things rather than where there want to be.
My experience at Elkhorn Area High School was overall pretty good. They offer numerous opportunities whether it be in academics, sports, or arts. As an alum and now a college student, I now realize how great my education at Elkhorn was. I became a vey well rounded student who was able to join any club I could think of. All of the clubs in the high school were very inclusive and they helped me get in to any college I wanted. The teachers in the elementary schools are very wonderful and friendly overall. The teachers in the middle school overall are nice and there are numerous clubs offered both academically and socially.
