I liked the curriculum, teacher and clubs at EGUSD. The classes were somewhat hard at times, it varied. Teachers were good and were on point with there teaching. Teachers even stayed way after to class to make sure you understood the material. Clubs were fantastic! I especially loved Desi Club at Samuel Jackman Middle School. Many indians/pakistanis were in there to truly express there unique yet similar cultures. A few EGSUD schools i went had poor school spirit. John Reith and Prarie Elementary had decent school spirit.Sports are bad at some schools, such as Valley but good at Jackman. I wouldn't say it's the school district with the most resources, such as money but they get by with what they do have. Parents are deeply involved in John Reith, LCHS and somewhat in jackman. At james rutter parents are not really involved with there students school life. EGUSD schools truly prepare students for college and the work force. Overall EGUSD is not too bad.

My school has helped me prepare for college greatly, although it is much harder than the other schools in the district. I believe to truly improve, all schools in the district should have equal academics. In addition, many students switch high schools for the purpose of athletics, which affects school spirit. Although I have only had positive experiences with faculty, during my time in high school their has been some issues at other schools with adults harassing female students.
This district is very diverse with a lot of different people from different cultures. My high school offers many programs to cater to different interests. We have a PTSO, different sports have their own parent support, there are also students at my school who are on the board and attend meetings concerning school policies and changes. There are many teachers who are happy to be here and teach, but I only know of this in higher level classes. The IB program offered is very good and many people who graduate from it say that college feels much easier to them. I actually really love my school.
