Throughout my high school career I attended Monterey Trail High School which is a phenomenal school; my first year there like any other freshman it was different and I was somewhat ill prepare but the teachers and other school mates always motivated me to be better and to participate in school activities and it was like this until my senior when I decided to transfer to Valley High School which was somewhat of a change because of the atmosphere the faculty are more relaxed when it comes to academics and don't really help or motivate the students to push for achievement. I got to see first hand the both sides of the Elk GroveUnified School district, but overall I really enjoy it because some of my favorite memories are on there campuses

Great teachers and administrators. Strong programs in math, science, music, performing arts. Overall excellent school district!
My experience in the Elk Grove Unified School District has been really good. I love the diversity and the availability of different pathways. One thing I really like about my school is how supportive students, administrators, and teachers are. Something I’d like there to be more of is advice or information about college and how we can prepare early. Overall, my experience has been great in the Elk Grove Unified School District. I’ve made great relationships with the teachers and the students.
