The school culture is excellent! It really feels like your family when you're here. Unfortunately, the school lacks diversity and opportunities within the school. Most juniors and seniors have to go off-campus to really advance their education. However, the ability to go off-campus to advance your education is an opportunity that is unavailable at many other high schools. Because of these off-campus opportunities, some graduates have been able to enter college as sophomores. However, this is becoming more and more rare as guidance from the local community college and the high school have not been the most helpful in ensuring this happens. Overall, Edwardsburg is a great town to grow up in, but not so great that you're ready to drop everything and come back immediately upon leaving.
I believe that the culture and pride throughout the school is great. The school offers many advanced courses including on campus AP and honors courses, as well as off campus early college courses. The academics are amazing and so are most of the teachers. The best thing about the school is sports. The sports here are outstanding with many of them ranking high in state rankings. Not only are the sports good, but so are the arts. The choirs vocal abilities are through the roof. The theatre and drama programs put on some of the most amazing shows I have seen. The band is also incredibly good and talented as they placed 3rd at their state competition. The students here are mostly nice and good people but like every school, there are some people who aren’t great. Overall, this school has strong academics as well as sports, clubs, and arts. There is so much offered here and so much opportunity for each and every student.
