I really appreciated and enjoy the community in Edmond Public Schools. I made lifelong friends there. In my experience, most classroom environments were healthy and beneficial to the students in them. About 80% of the teachers taught well and the policies were fair. There were always opportunities for student involvement posted all over the schools, and we are encouraged to participate! I loved being a part of this district.
I attend Edmond Santa Fe High School, home of the wolves. I would never choose a different school to attend! Santa Fe has been my home for the past 4 years and I am not ready to leave in May. I was, and still am, very involved in my school. I am on the Varsity Pom team, I do competitive show choir, choir, I participate in the musicals, and I am a part of the NHS. It is one of the most academically diverse schools in the state of Oklahoma. I would not be the woman I am today without being a wolf at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
Edmond Public Schools is a great district. The following ratings are based on one of their high schools, Edmond North High School. Overall, the school is a wonderful place to learn new things and be challenged to think in a way you've never thought before, and a great place to meet new people you never thought you would ever talk to. Sequoyah Middle School was also an excellent place to learn, due to all of the highly charismatic and intelligent teachers. Northern Hills Elementary, for example, is one of the greatest elementary schools in the state due to the connections, life lessons, friends, and core memories a student is able to make at such a young age. Although most students will tell you EPS is a terrible district, the district and administration go above and beyond to ensure every student has the best possible experience in every single one of EPS's schools. They sure do their job, and deserve to be recognized for their hard work.
