One of the greatest aspects of the Edison school district is the diversity of the students. It is impossible to feel like i minority in Edison. In addition, there are many great opportunities for extracurricular activities. Edison schools offer every sport in addition to strong music and theatre programs. I was encouraged to participate in a wide range of clubs and activities. The technology initiative has also given Edison students access to great resources. Every student in the middle and high schools recieves a macbook or chromebook laptop. The elementary school students work with iPads. These resources helped me outside the class by increasing my independence and ability to excel in all of my courses
The thing that separates Edison Schools from other school districts is in its diversity. Being enrolled in Edison Township School for seven years, I've become a more open-minded and respectable person. This is because Edison schools attract students of many different background to create a melting pot of cultures. This kind of diversity has, along with a wonderful academic program, has opened the hearts, eyes, and minds of me and several other students to see the importance of communication and understanding; to see different points of view in this world;and to acknowledge and embrace the differences we have as human beings.
I love how when I entered Edison High School as a freshman, my teachers already started to prepare with intense college work that would help pay off within my years of attending Edison High School. The teachers bend over backwards for their students and go above and beyond to make sure the students are learning the right techniques in a good learning environment. The school spirit, clubs and activities are all diverse and have such good unity to make everyone feel loved and welcomed. I would change nothing , Edison High school shaped me into the well young educated lady I am today.
