I appreciate the effort that this district goes through to try and make everyone come together. They make everyone feel wanted here and like they have a chance. They provide help for those who might need more than others. They also do the best they can when it comes to kids messing around and causing trouble. Some things I would like to see change is some of the teachers. Some of the teachers here struggle to teacher. Although I know people have different ways of teaching sometimes when I ask for extra explination they don't really help me. They either just ignore me or tell me to look at my notes/Youtube video. Other than that most the teachers here are AMAZING! The disrict provides so much for us to be able to get the best out of our learning.
I like Eau Claire memorial. My experience with Memorial high school, has been a pretty extraordinary four years. I started out my high school career by being in two different sports. Those sports are very competitive but one thing I would like to see change is more intermural sports for the people that do not make the cuts for varsity sports. There are multiple clubs that you can join, and there are many different opportunities for making new friends and enjoying high school. Another pro of ECM is the social activities that they host. These include the dances, the multiple sports games, and the concerts that you can all get into for free. Another thing I would like to see changed is the school lunches. A lot of the lunch items are overpriced for their actual worth. Overall I am more than happy about my high school experience.
Throughout my public education, educators have helped shape the person I am today not only through lessons in math and science, but also in relation to kindness and leadership. Teachers dedicated valuable time and effort that gave students the opportunity to thrive. As I come to the end of my high school and public education career, I reflect upon 13 years of learning and forming important relationships with friends and classmates. I have had the privilege of an outstanding education in my district, but something that has always frustrated me throughout my experience in the Eau Claire Area School District is the lack of feeling like an important member of this essential community. The lack of value placed on the thoughts and ideas of my peers and I has closed many opportunities for change and growth. I have the utmost respect for administrators, but I wish to see more collaboration in our district in order to continue to forever move forward.
