Eaton School District Reviews
Eaton High School is an amazing place to go to school. It is a very involved community, and the culture perpetuated is that Eaton kids "treat each other like family." Eaton needs better facilities to accommodate the influx of kids and the capacity growth that the entire district has undergone. The hallways are shoulder-to-shoulder in a sea of surging humanity during passing periods, and there is inadequate space throughout. The district is set to have a bond election in November to finance construction throughout the district.
Eaton is a small school where everyone knows each other. It is amazing because the school is a big family, who loves each other and looks out for each other. In all aspects, sports, choir, or theatre, the community is very supportive and they live to see the success of the high school students. The faculty and staff are not only just teachers, they work to make personal connections with each and every student. There are a lot of opportunities to get involved with in the school and the community. Eaton does a wonderful job of preparing students for all aspects after the high school level.
The Eaton High staff and curriculum have been excellent. I've always felt valued as a student and challenged intellectually. The teachers are very good, and will do absolutely anything to help a student succeed if they show a bit of effort. However, I only give this school three stars on account of my fellow students. The majority of students in this building are rude, entitled, and intolerant. If you ever find yourself in the position of an "outsider" in this warped school culture, there's very little chance you'll be able to make friends or find a group you belong to. The culture is cruel and elitist, but the school itself is fantastic.
