My experience was very different from what most kids would say about highschool. I didnt enjoy it much due to the kids being so racists and very disgusting. The best part about highschool was I learned to be independent and learned what real friends are. I did learn my strengths and weaknesses in science and had amazing teachers helping me the best way that they can. My overall school work experience was good. I tried my best to maintain good grades as well. What I would like to see change is how the kids treat each other and black people. The school would be so much better without bullying and racism. The harassment females go through as well and the females that put down other women. Everyone is different in there own ways and deserve to express themselves in a comfortable, positive manner. I am ready to become a full adult and go to college and experience college life. I am ready to study biochemistry and become a Physician. I look forward to seeing what the future holds.
Through my personal experiences, growing up through the school districts I realized they need to fix some of their priorities and focuses; specifically when it comes to how the district chooses to spend their money. During my two years in high school I realized that they put a larger care towards their sports and paid less attention to their different arts and other educational subjects such as the English department. I feel that they are departments that deserve to have an increase in funding so they would be able to prosper and, if given proper appreciation, be able to provide a better status to the school. When it comes to teachers, I feel like there is an equal balance of good and bad teachers and that isn't something you would want in a district. One would want a majority of good. A major issue that I constantly get upset about, is that the district doesn't listen to what their students have to say.
Teachers are helpful for the most part. New Superintendent is doing a great job getting students focused on achievement at or above grade level. Elementary school is adding foreign language learning at a younger age - 4th and 5th grades.
