I enjoy the diversity in the East Side Union High School District. I am surrounded by a variety of cultures and I love it! I do feel safe, even when fights arise. Those conflicts are resolved quickly. In terms of academics, there could be a major improvement. Some teachers are nice people, but terrible teachers. This mainly applies to math teachers. The math department could definitely improve to strength their teaching. In addition, the food can be better taste-wise and health-wise. Healthier and tastier foods should be provided to ensure proper nutrition and consumption.
Although the East Side Union High School District does have bad reputation for violence and dangers, it does try its best to promote a better school environment. For the past three years, the school district has slowly been getting a better reputation. However, this year has been noticeable more difficult. With gang violence rising and constant police activity on varies school campuses, the school district has enforced new policies, police/security guards, and also forced teachers to attend teacher meetings. The East Side Union High School District has bad students, however they try their best to keep situations under control.
I think my experience in this district was very good, considering that I've been in it for around 3 years already. Some teachers are really good and really appreciate and care for the wellbeing of their students, and others are more focused on the grade. Recently, there have been more resources to get prepared and ready for college and even the school lunches have immensely improved!
