East Irondequoit Central School District Reviews
The best thing about this district is a lot of teachers and staff make you feel comfortable and make you want to come to school if you build some type of relationship with them it can make your school day. On the down side if you don't have a good relationship with staff and aren't a "good" student you don't get a lot of support and it makes it harder. Also the administration lacks proper discipline, they tend to choose the wrong type of discipline. They encourage students to be in class and school but take them out of school if they miss it alot, and give kids suspensions for long periods of times even in small situations.
The teachers at Eastridge High School are ones that I will never forget. They make sure every student succeeds and they care about our grades and our plans for the future. There are also so many opportunities to be involved in an activity through school depending on someone's interests. Lastly, the counselors here are great when it comes to getting us prepared for our future and what it takes to get to our goals. For me personally, I have always went to my counselor with questions about college and she always helped me no matter the question. As a result, I am done taking exams for college and I have already been accepted into college for early decision.
I had a decent education throughout my elementary through high school years. Our principle pulled several privileges from past years that i never got to enjoy, along with teachers who didn't put in grades until the day they were do, and as a result, i had nothing to track what was due until very late. However the school isn't all negative. Most of the teachers are willing to work with you, and will take time out of their day to help. The janitors work hard every day and the lunch workers make decent food.
