For the amount of property taxes we are paying, the schools should be like new with the best technology available and multiple extracurricular activities. If you look at some other school districts in other parts of the country, they have beautiful new schools with a college like feel to them. That atmosphere is preparing kids for the next step in life. The students at EGSD should all be issued laptops and have access to textbooks to reference says needed (this is not happening - other than Covid). The teachers seem quite nice overall but there seems to be little accountability. Administrators at the Middle School could use a little pep talk on how to treat kids with respect. Nicer playgrounds would be great for the elementary level kids. The schools are overcrowded and ratios are high. This district is constantly being overrated, mostly due to the affluence of the community I think. There are better districts with cheaper cost of living

East Greenwich is a really great, quality school. The teachers are overall very supportive and care about their students. Coming from a private school, I was nervous that public school would not be the same, but it surprised me in a good way! I really enjoy the East Greenwich school system
As a transfer student in tenth grade, I had a unique perspective on the school. Students were ridiculously welcoming, and I was very happy with the general culture. The school also offered a challenging curriculum, with teachers that really helped and encouraged me.
