I liked how the staff and teachers were very caring amongst the children education. However, a few things could be changed for example, adding on classes that’ll transfer over to college. Also, getting more engaged with students on where they would like to transfer once high school is over and guide them in the right path of doing so. For example: helping them get their TIP forms ready and etc.
I been in East Detroit Public Schools all my life and I created great relationships and had good memories there. However, the schools need more emotional and financial support in order for students to really succeed and feel accepted in their environment.
My school is very unique and very good at what they do. I have learned so much from that school. Since 9th grade it's been a roller coaster there, in a good way i guess. I mean it was rough at first because of the big transition but other than that i feel ive been prepared the best way possible for college.
