I had a great experience at East Central high school. My teachers were amazing, because I took the right classes and the right programs like Colloquium and AP courses. There isn’t much school spirit because it hasn’t been until recently that the school has been making improvements to their athletic coaching staff, and the schools football, and other athletic teams have been improving. But other programs like the fine arts, especially the band program, are unenjoyable with the new staff. My experiences in the marching band were great at the beginning of high school, but when the staff changed, the new style and personality of the new head band director was disliked by many MANY people, parents, and students including me. And because of him my worst high school experiences were created.
I’ve been here all 4 years of my high school career. This campus is huge and gorgeous, the staff is kind and helpful, the administrators are fun and interactive, overall a very nice school. I am proud to be a hornet!
East Central was always my dream of going to as a kid, I remember first coming there and it seemed so big and I felt I was going to get lost the first day. First day of freshman year I was actually excited that the next four years of my life I’ll be spending here. Most of the teachers are great and understanding and will most definitely help you when you need it. The food is pretty good too depending on how picky you are. The sports are great too, my senior year we had a pretty good football team and our softball team are doing amazing right now. The environment is great and I wouldn’t mind spending another year here.
