Great school district. One on one teaching and not overcrowded in classes. Counselors are awesome! AVID program really prepares the students for the future and they are so involved with the students interests and academics. I love the fact Boswell is very informative with everything is going on in the schools. Parents are so involved when they are informed. I highly recommend this school district they are so much more educated versus brushing the students off just t so they can pass.
There's so many opportunities for student athletes and people who want to exceed academically. In middle school, I was your average C student who didn't take college and future careers seriously. I was never interested in sports and or clubs. Now, as a high school junior, I am president of a club, involved in 3 sports, and is on a dance team! I also have a great group of friends and huge support system by teachers and staff.
My years in EMSISD were great years. The student body really encouraged each other and the staff encouraged us to keep doing what we were doing my supporting each other. I was in the school district from kinder to graduation, I have see our school district grow in many different ways. There is many more schools in our district as well as more people, more times than not I noticed groups such as athletes, band kids, etc. but throughout the years the groups merged into each other which I think is great that we aren't putting one another in categories. The staff did a great job of expanding and getting out of their comfort zone by going to sporting events and joining social media to keep the students engaged with school activities on their side. Both student and staff were always out doing themselves for student and staff appreciation weeks. Overall I believe I could not have been grown up in a better district, my experience was fantastic and I would not change anything!
