The Dubuque Community School District truly cared about every one of their students. They allowed many resources for sports, the arts, and after school activities. They kept their students safe and always took precautions if there was a red flag. Truly grateful I grew up in this district!

I am very impressed with the Dubuque Community School District. The District is filled with qualified, caring teachers that want every student to succeed. Academics are top-notch, and there are classes for every level of student. There are numerous AP classes in high school that will earn college credit. There are students that can earn a full 1 year of college credit if they take enough AP classes. There are a great variety of extracurricular activities that will satisfy every student's desires.
I attend Hempstead High School in the Dubuque Community School District. I've definitely enjoyed my time at Hempstead over these last years. There is definitely a sense of protection and safety generated from the school district. You can tell that the teachers and staff care about the development and safety of all the children in the district. Extensive safety precautions have been instituted and enforced in light of recent events over the last year. Nearly all my teachers have been great teachers and great people.
