Dover Public School District Reviews
It’s Very diverse school district. The teachers all seem to love their job, where means the students have someone to look up to and think to themselves, yes! I do want to be something in my future. Plus, the student and teachers seem to really like each other, that’s a big plus. What I don’t like is the student to teacher ratio, which is a bit high. One way to solve the high ratio is to hire more teachers. In all I like the school
The Dover Public School District in New Jersey is rich in diversity, which makes it stand out amongst other Morris County schools that may lack diversity. Dover is home to people of different ethnic backgrounds and cultures. The distinctiveness surrounding our community is what makes our schools unique. Growing up in a multi-cultural town was essential to my upbringing because it has helped me evolve into a well-rounded young gentleman. However, despite the benefits of coming up in a diverse community, there are some downsides. For instance, our parents can be a little more involved with our schools. They could be involved through PTA meetings and school wide events. Although some parents may be busy with work or family responsibilities, Dover Public Schools could do better to accommodate our parents' busy schedules. I feel parent involvement is crucial because the feeling of knowing they have our backs and support us as students can help propel us to reach academic excellence.
Dover High School is a school full of opportunity, however the only way to take make use of them is to advantage of your resources. I try to take as many honors and AP classes available that correlate with my interested majors. I find this very beneficial to me because with the credits I earn, I can use in college. I would like to see more academies. Many of the students and teachers feel that the academies already in place are not legitimate and have little to no help in college searches.
