Douglass Independent School District Reviews
Douglass is a very small school. There's a limited number of activities and people to participate in those activities. Douglass is like a very large family. There are people you want to always be in your life and some you'd rather not, but you know them anyway. The faculty are caring about the students and take the time to help. The only things that really need to change are the old school buildings, class schedules, and the school spirit. There's just not enough time in the day to take so many classes and then have the free time to relax, study, or do homework. The school spirit is definitely lacking as well; the family vibe has certainly turned sour over the passed few years.
My experience at Douglass ISD was fairly easy. I enjoyed my high school experience for the most part. One thing I would change is the lack of classes the have including cosmetology, or anything involving criminal justice.
Great atmosphere for learning and being prepared for college. When arriving to college I felt I made the transition very easily. Great school overall.
