Dolgeville Central School District houses grades prek-12. They do give good opportunities for students such to expand on themselves besides their normal curriculum activities such as Pen in Hand, plays, art club, marching band, color guard, football, soccer, etc. Though they tend to play favorites. Giving those who were not there all their lives not the same opportunities to those who have been there always and even to relatives. Yes, there is some Faculty/ student family relationships and they sometimes seem to be favorited because of that. There are though some good teachers there who care about what they teach and want students to grow. The guidance counselor is never around for when students need him. Gym is graded is horrible, you miss one gym class. No matter the reason, even if you go to make it up it drops your grade badly. They wasted their budget on remolding and now they are having to let go some great teachers that made the school all the better.

Dolgeville central school was one of the big reasons I am now top of my class. When I first moved here when I was younger I could barely read and with the help of one teacher that saw the potential in me I began to excel. This school is the perfect size there is not to many students so it is very easy to get one on one help from teachers in the classroom. But with the positives comes the negative. As of recently I am now a junior and going to be a senior and we are one of two schools in the whole state that can not pass a budget. This can and may ruin many activities for the students and restrict many academic opportunities. Also the school has become very impoverish in the recent years and with the mismanagement within the school it has become hard to be proud of my school. I hope for things to change before I graduate
Dolgeville Central School is a really nice school. I Have had the best experience there. I love the teachers that work there. They are very respectful and want you to do the best that you can. I would not change a single thing about Dolgeville school.
