What I liked about Dixon Unified School District is the amount of care they have for their students. Members from the board are consistently visiting the High School to check up on students. One thing I would like to see change is their process of notifying citizens. Often times, people are notified very late about events or changes which causes a lot of people to be angry.

I'm currently a sophomore now going into my junior year at Dixon High School. I've been in the Dixon Unified School District for about 2 and a half years and I've had some good and bad situations with the system. Throughout my years, I've some very excellent teachers who I've connected with and each time I would leave their class, I would feel that I always learned something new and knowledgeable. However, I have had some teachers also that could care less about the success of their students and only care about their reputations being maintained among the district. However, the teachers who you will encounter the next year will be very understanding and try to help you as best as they can getting you back on track. I very excited to continue the rest of high school with my teachers that are truly understanding and willing to do whatever they can to help me get better and earn an A.
I'm currently a high school sophomore. I've been in this district since kindergarten. I have had a wonderful experience in all of the school in Dixon and I would recommend this district for people who want their kids to grow up in a close community. The schools have so much diversity and everyone is super friendly. The schools offer great sports, after school programs, and great tutoring programs as well.
