Dickson County High School is a rural high school with many clubs and organizations for students to join. I really liked how the school made sure at graduation to recognize those who had already signed to join the military along with those who exceeded in academics and in sports; however, I do feel the school values those who succeed in sports more than those who succeed academically. Despite this, I believe DCHS does have a very good academic program for those who need or want the mental challenge. Overall I am very happy with the traditions and experience I have at Dickson County High School.

Dickson County Schools really care about the kids. They promote parent involvement and keep everyone informed. I have enjoyed my high school years as both my parents are alumi. The schools have great community involvement, too
To me, Dickson County High School is a place where I feel safe. All the teachers, principals, and staff there are caring and want whatever is best for you. As a student, if you apply yourself and try hard, there is no reason you'll leave there unprepared for whatever it is you want to do next.
