Dickinson High School students are far from ordinary. Here, I have made several friends, learned a lot about myself, and learned a lot academically. At our Football games, we are one big family. It's no question that our atheltic program is filled with determined athletes who feel it in their heart. There is great diversity throughout the school yet there is always somewhere somebody can fit in, since our school porvides several different extra curricular programs and clubs such as robotics, journalism, NHS, ect. I believe the one thing our school could work on is being more accepting to change- such as policies preventing students to learn just because of a dress code violation, should be elimated, and the councling should be more open and helpful to those stuggling. However overall, the Gator Family is definitely one i'm proud to be apart of.

Dickinson Independent School District is accompanied with a large diversity of students regarding races and personalities. The student body is competitive in all forms of performance in departments such as academics, sports, music, and art. Teachers are mostly dedicated with good personalities. The main issues are involved in the student resources such as technology and food. The district, especially the high school, are still using old textbooks, desks, and computers. The food quality is also not the best. Also the cost of taking tests for advanced placement students is very high due to trouble balancing expenses.
I liked how most of the schools are brand new, or sections of them are brand new. I also liked the diversity due to many students moving from surrounding cities to attend Dickinson schools. There were a lot of student-led clubs and activities at the high school, as well as the normal activities like sports, choir, art, etc. I especially enjoyed the fact that there was a Christian "club" at the school. The only thing I could say I dislike about the district is that one or two of the teachers were extremely rude and borderline abusive to students and never got reprimanded or fired as far as I know.
