Diamond R-IV School District Reviews
Rating 3.5 out of 5 8 reviews
Diamond is overall a good school. There are some amazing teachers and the most of the classes are engaging. However, there are some poor quality teachers, and their classes (as one would guess) are poor as well. I feel that the district would do better to conduct more thorough screenings in regards to prospective employees.
I like how small it is. I would hate it to go to a bigger school. The teachers and staff must be treated really badly with reduced pay because they can't get anyone to stay.
I would like for the student culture to be moved to actually care more about academics instead of focusing on driving teachers away.
The school here is great we have a building for each division of grades. We have a building for the Elementary, Middle and High School and they are all right there in walking distance. This is great because if you have a younger sibling you can pick them up right there if you drive or if you are in walking distance from your home. Some things could be better like the food and other things just like every other school. They do great things for the senior graduation and the under class mates. The teachers and counselor are trying to get students ready for college.
Diamond R-IV School District is a very personable school. I feel very comfortable to talk to nearly all of the staff, and it is noticeable that the staff cares about the students. Academic wise there are a few teachers who are a little too comfortable and let Google do all the teaching, but not every teacher is like that. There are several teachers who really put their effort in and help find a way to teach that will benefit the students.
I've gone to Diamond my entire life (K-12). The small school atmosphere is so much better than going to a bigger school. I've honestly had nothing but good experiences here. The teachers are always willing to help you in any way they possibly can. Whether it's other classes to work problems they always try to help to the best of their ability. The only set back in my opinion is that there aren't a lot of class options for high school students. They offer a variety of dual credit classes but sometimes you can't take them due to the lack of students. But overall I would recommend attending Diamond if you are in the district area.
Spending twelve years in Diamond was was nice for me. I never realized how there are other schools have more than 12 students, so I'm pretty blessed to attend to this school where the while everybody in the community knows each other. The teachers were very helpful. It was almost like they were our parents while we're in school. This school doesn't have much of extracurricular activities, but there are many students that have amazing ideas on what Diamond can approve on. If I had a kid, I would enroll them into a small public school just like Diamond because I know they would enjoy attending to that type of school as I did.
