Being a Student at this high school i know a few things about it. One thing i know is that most of the people working there are just looking to get a paycheck. Many of the teachers and staff don't truly want to educate the students. What they want is high test score so they can get more grant money. That is just the education aspect though, other things such as sports and clubs are very nice. I believe that the coaches care about the students that they are training. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with the school which i respect.

I am a very independent learner, so most of my personal success comes from my own initiative incorporated into my school work. At Derry, communication is difficult, and many opportunities for students are missed. They do not have many career-prep courses, nor do they offer any guidance when applying to college or working on your college search.
It wasn't very good. The classes offered are great. But teachers etc. aren't beneficial to students. If kids are self sufficient you will succede, but if kids want to learn it will be a struggle. The new "self independence" mindset at schools is just a way for teachers to slack off.
