Fantastic school district. Both elementary schools were just voted National School of Character. Great special education and intervention teachers. Fantastic homeroom teachers. Homeroom teachers hold “morning class meetings” to encourage students to feel they are a community of learners and they play a vital role in their classrooms. All around an awesome school district!
I liked the constant changing and modernizing of the school. When the old soccer field is unable to be used, the school found a new field. The play has had many different coaches to be used or dancing or vocals. The elementary school update their playgrounds every few years and even put in a conflict resolution 'bridge'. I do think that the Denville schools need to work on their counseling of students. I feel that they could learn more about the students and with times changing and students more technological, the school can learn all about the new way students interact.
