Rural school. Nice, new high school facilities. No AP classes, but does have Honors and Dual Credit opportunities. Not a lot of opportunities for clubs/ extracurricular activities outside of sports.
Denver City is a great school. I love the town and the people. They are very friendly and always great you with a smile. Our teachers try and help us with everything they can to see us succeed in life. The teachers also remind of anything that we need to know because we all know we forget things in our life and just need simple reminder. I love Denver City, Texas and couldn't ask to be raised anywhere else , but here.
Great teachers and extra-curriculars. Zero Bullying policy isn't enforced and favoritism is shown toward those with influential families in the community.
Attending school at DCISD was a very enjoyable experience. The faculty is always kind, helpful, and respectful towards students. The school's have recieved a few upgrades since I have attended and I think the upgrades add great opportunities for current and future students.
I absolutely like how Denver City kept their students on the right track to getting their diploma. I would like to see a change in school pride. I often think that students do not understand just how lucky we are to have to facilities or staff we do.
The school itself is very run down and old, but all the staff is really nice. I like Denver City because it is a small school and that allows you to really form a connection with the teachers. I don't feel like I'm just another student. I believe that the majority of the teacher that work at Denver City really care about you and your education. Most of the teacher greet you at the door with a smile and wish you a good day at the end of class. Being a senior, I have to begin preparing for the future, but I have no idea where to start. My teachers and councilors have been great at giving me advise and pointing me in the right direction. I know Denver City staff cares about me and my future.
Loving teachers though may be slightly biased in some situations. You feel truly cared about when attending school here. The new facilities being built and recently built really liven the place up a bit.
It was a great school to be a part because it taught us discipline and kindness. For my class we were close and help each other out as much as we could. I think the school really taught us to always be a part of something and encouraged us to do our best!
Denver city high school is committed to seeing their students succeed and that more than anything is a valuable attribute from a school. However, there is a bullying problem that needs to be adressed.
