DeKalb offers a wide variety of AP classes which has given me free college credit! The school has even been given an award from the state because of the success its students have with the AP programs. The teachers are great and the students are supportive of one another. If you get more involved in a club or activity, you will have a better experience.

DeKalb Central offers a wide variety of curriculum, co-curricular and extracurricular offerings. Great teaching and administrative staff! Each school provides a very warm and welcoming environment. Each elementary school has a unique partnership to help further advance the program offerings provided to students. Great district!!
Overall my time in high school has been very pleasant here. There is a large variety of classes and our administration recognizes the fact that students have different interests, our guidance department does a lot to reinforce students' innate strengths. There is a lot of AP and dual credit classes to try and teachers are always doing their best to help students make decisions that work for them.
