Deer Valley Unified School District Reviews
During my time in Deer Valley Unified School District, I have been given the opportunity to learn in the classroom and through internship and volunteer opportunities. At my high school I am a varsity cheerleader, DECA Chapter Officer, Freshman Mentor Public Relations Officer, Best Buddies Chapter President, National Honors Society member, and involved in anything that promotes school spirit! I have also been allowed the opportunity to intern through DVUSD's CTE Internship Program at another high school in the district. I am placed in the Transition School to Work Program which gives me insight on the job field that I want into, Special Education at the Secondary Level. I would not have the opportunities and experiences that I have had during my time in the DVUSD system without DVUSD.
In the Deer Valley School District, I felt that as a student I was well respected. Specifically, Barry Goldwater HS has an outstanding array of diversity, as well as an amazing culture all-in-all. The teachers and administration are all so lovely, and love to help whenever needed; the teachers always have your back!
Deer Valley Unified School District provided for an amazing highschool experience with great teachers and good academics. I attended Sandra Day O'Connor High School, and the spirit the school radiated really helped with becoming comfortable within the school and with the adjustment to the high school atmosphere. The student body was very involved and most of the teachers were beyond average and made learning an overall fun experience. Going to school within this district was an excellent choice and it led to great memories being made while also teaching me and prepping me for the college life.
